Bridal Session in Downtown McKinney

Chestnut Square in McKinney is known for its charm and beauty. This made it the perfect spot for Rachel to have her bridal session before her big day. And the session and location in McKinney did not disappoint. Chestnut Square is a historic village in the heart of downtown with houses that have been preserved since as early as 1854. If you’re looking for an old fashioned setting to have photos taken, Chestnut Square is one of the most historically rich parts of McKinney and not to mention, one of the most fashionable, with its vintage style. Many of the photos were taken near the historic white chapel in the Square.

Rachel’s session could not have been timed any better! We finished the shoot just minutes before a storm rolled in over downtown. In the interest of time, before any rain hits, it helps to have a bride who is so easy to work with. Rachel already had ideas in mind about what she wanted her photos to look and feel like. She just loved posing, which makes my job super easy! With solid ideas in mind and beautiful skies before the storm, the photos were bound to be just what we had hoped for.

The flowers you’ll see in these photos were from the Stalk Market, an event florist near the Chestnut Square. These flowers added so much to the historic atmosphere we were going for! What are old Victorian style homes without flowers? Flowers are timeless, and the Stalk Market’s bridal bouquet was the perfect accessory for these “southern country” photos. It doesn’t get much classier than a southern bride with her bouquet in the Chestnut Square, Chapel gardens.

Rachel and I had a blast during her bridal shoot and were pleased with all the vintage qualities this part of Downtown has to offer. Thank you to Chestnut Square for preserving this beautiful part of our city so that we can capture memories of brides like Rachel!

Ormesher Adoption Pictures – Historic Downtown McKinney

Jonathan and Maegan have been good friends for many years!  We met in historic downtown McKinney for this shoot and in addition to having a great time taking their pictures, we also discovered our new favorite pizza place!

I was really excited when they asked me to take some pictures of them to use in their ADOPTION portfolio!  My wife and I have a huge heart for adoption (something we hope to do in the future), so I was thrilled to get to be a part of their adoption experience.  I loved their chalkboard and the tiny baby shoes they used to represent the baby that will soon be a part of their family.  I can hardly wait to take pictures for them again when they are a family of 3!  Here are a few of my favorites:
