It’s raining…but let’s do photos anyway!
Meagan and Erik flew in from North Carolina to get their engagement photos taken…so we had no time to waste. And even though the Dallas wedding was in true form, the show had to go on! All day long we kept delaying the session in hopes the clouds would give us a few moments of dry for pictures. But it didn’t. And it wasn’t just raining…it was pouring so much that there were rivers in the fields and lakes where there was supposed to be grass.
So what do you do? You buy an umbrella, put on your rain gear, and make the best of it. We started off in downtown McKinney for some pictures on concrete where we could at least avoid the lakes and ponds of water. After some pictures there, we changed into dry clothes and headed over to The Farmhouse McKinney to wade through the water and get soaked while taking photos. We made it as quick as possible before we just couldn’t find a dry spot on us. Meagan and Erik were such troopers! And hopefully all the rain will be out of the system by the time they get married in December at Rustic Grace Estate! But if not, it will just be another adventure in wedding photography. As a wedding photographer, we always have to be on our toes!
