Dru & Stefan’s Engagement Session [Klyde Warren / Deep Ellum / White Rock Lake]
I have never seen a couple be so strategic with the locations of their engagement shoot! Stefan & Dru didn’t just choose some cool spots…they went with locations that reflected their personality (being great spots to take engagement pictures was just a plus).
So what were the locations? Klyde Warren Park, Deep Ellum, & White Rock Lake. But here is their explanation:
Dru is White Rock Lake (Garland)
Stefan is Deep Ellum (Dallas)
As a couple they are Klyde Warren Park (Dallas)
It was the perfect mix of artsy (Stefan) & nature (Dru). Since we wanted to be at White Rock Lake at sunset, we began the day at Klyde Warren Park. When we planned out the shoot, we thought Thursday would be a great day since it wouldn’t be very crowded. Wrong on 2 levels.
- It was the first official day of Spring and absolutely gorgeous out…which meant everyone and their dog (literally…it is a requirement if you live downtown to have a little mouse size dog) was there.
- Apparently it was National Happiness Day (guess I forgot to check my calendar). There were overly happy people in neon colored shirts dancing and getting interviewed on the news. Usually, people in the background aren’t that big of a deal…but when their shirts are as obnoxious as the Baylor Basketball jerseys (yea…I went there), it made for an added challenge.
But, despite those unforeseen obstacles, we had such a great time roaming through Klyde Warren Park – which was also where they got engaged! From there we headed to Deep Ellum to get some pictures with some colored walls & under the highway. We then looked at the time and realized it was way later than we thought. So we rushed to White Rock Lake with Stefan’s bow tie and enjoyed the beautiful sunset!
Dru & Stepahn were so much fun to be around. A couple full of so much laughter & joy…I am super excited for their wedding!
Don’t forget to leave Dru & Stefan some love in the comment section!
