Creekmore Family Portrait Session – Prather Park in Turtle Creek, Highland Park

When you do a shoot for a family of 6 (with 4 kids ages 6 & under) you know it is either going to go really well or be an epic fail. If one gets upset it will spread like wildfire to all of them…but if one gets laughing…JACKPOT! So how do you get 4 kids smiling? Tell them not to smile, then pretend to scold them for not listening. What is funnier than getting to do the opposite of what an adult says and get away with it? Nothing…that’s what. That trick lasted long enough to get some fun shots of the family. When it wore off we ran around trees, did the wave while holding hands, and tried to knock the younger ones over in the wagon. It was tons of fun, and sure helped that these kids are super cute and LOVED to work the camera!

Turtle Creek was where the family portraits went down (specifically Prather Park, right next to Davis Park & Lakeside Park). If you haven’t been there, it is beautiful area with tons of trees and parks. Go have yourself a picnic there if you are ever in the area. Hope you enjoy this family portrait session!
