Jared & Leah’s Beautiful Outdoor Wedding // Dallas, TX

Jared and Leah had a stunning outdoor wedding just outisde of Dallas. They had originally planned to get married in August, but Jared got his orders for military deployment so they had to move the wedding to April, which meant they only had 2 weeks to plan. It was amazing to watch all their friends and family rally around and help them plan this last minute military wedding. Everyone had a blast at the wedding! Despite the heat, the dance floor was packed as they celebrate the marriage!
Jared and Leah were so in love and completely overjoyed to be getting married! Their day was brimming over with laughter and excitement as they were united together as husband and wife. Cheers to happily ever after!

Greek Orthodox Wedding // McKinney Cotton Mill

The McKinney Cotton Mill and a Greek Orthodox Church wedding are usually not mentioned in the same sentence. But Ethan and Dimi wanted to include their love of the look and style of the McKinney Cotton Mill with the tradition of Dimi’s home church.  So we began in a traditional Greek Orthodox church with a traditional ceremony.  After performing the traditional Greek orthodox rituals, the priest pronounced them husband and wife. This concluded the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church ceremony.

At the McKinney Cotton mill we began with photos on the 2nd floor of the mill. The giant windows, columns, and massive amount of light made this the perfect spot for photos! After this, we headed to the reception room at the Mckinney Cotton Mill to start the celebration. They started with their first dance and then opened up the dance floor for some traditional greek dancing. The floor was packed all night!

It was so fun to combine their church traditions with The McKinney cotton mill! These two had such a fun wedding day and left their wedding in a sports car towards downtown McKinney. Here is a preview of their wedding:

Military Wedding // The Springs Tuscany Hill, Anna, Texas

Being a part of a military wedding at The Springs Tuscany hill was like something out of a movie. The beautiful Tuscan feel coupled with the Marines in their dress blues made this wedding a very formal affair. The Springs Tuscany Hill wedding venue was the ideal location for this military wedding!

At this Military wedding, the groomsmen were dressed in wedding attire for the ceremony, and got into their dress blues for the Saber arch at the reception. The marines lined up for the saber arch as the bride and groom entered The Springs reception area. This was followed by a ballroom type first dance as the bride and groom showed their dancing skills in what looked like a scene from a movie. The bride was full of smiles and you could feel the love from her eyes. The groom looked like a gentlemen who will love and protect his bride at all costs. It was beautiful. Halfway through the wedding my wife turned to me and said: I have never seen such a happy bride!

It was such an honor to be a part of a wedding like this: being a part of this sweet couples lives before they move to Virginia to start training and serving our country. I have done quite a few military weddings, but this one was one for the books. Take a look at some of the photos below, and please pray for these men in uniform as they serve our country. A military wedding is always a beautiful affair, but it can’t be forgotten that these men will be putting their lives on the line for our country.

Meagan and Erik’s Dallas Engagements

Meagan and Erik flew in from North Carolina to get their engagement photos taken as well as complete some other wedding planning here in Dallas. The only problem: it rained… and it rained… and it rained. All day long we kept delaying the session in hopes the clouds would give us a few moments of dry for pictures. But it didn’t. And it wasn’t just raining…it was pouring so much that there were rivers in the fields and lakes where there was supposed to be grass.

So what do you do? You buy an umbrella, put on your rain gear, and make the best of it. We started off in downtown McKinney for some pictures on concrete where we could at least avoid the lakes and ponds of water. After some pictures there, we changed into dry clothes and headed over to The Farmhouse McKinney to wade through the water and get soaked while taking photos. We made it as quick as possible before we just couldn’t find a dry spot on us. Meagan and Erik were such troopers! And hopefully all the rain will be out of the system by the time they get married in December at Rustic Grace Estate! But if not, it will just be another adventure in wedding photography. As a wedding photographer, we always have to be on our toes!
