Brennan and Mercedes know how to make rustic romantic! They had their engagement shoot in the back woods of Mckinney. They were later married at Rustic Grace Estate in Van Alstyne on October the 8th. If you’re looking for romance complete with red barn, lush fields, and two sights set on each other, this cute couple captured it!
Scott and Amanda wanted their engagement session at Erwin Park in Mckinney – somewhere with trees and natural beauty. What I didn’t know, was that Scott had plans to start the session off with playing a little joke on his fiancée. He jumped out of the truck wearing shorts shorts, a headband, and well…you just have to see it. He then got back in the truck for a quick wardrobe change and came out in fiancee approved attire. We killed some mosquitoes as we walked around Erwin Park taking photos wherever our stroll took us. At the end of the session I put my camera I my bag and it literally started to rain. Perfect timing! Trying to beat the crazy Texas weather is never fun, but it is just part of being a photographer in Dallas in the spring.
Arbor Hills Nature Preserve always sounds like a good idea for an engagement session… Unless it is raining… And then raining again. Some session are harder to schedule than others, thanks to our ever changing Texas weather. But we eventually found a day that had clear skies. We all woke up super early to get some shots as the sun came up, and it was totally worth it! We walked around Arbor Hills Nature Preserve in Plano to get pictures on the trail. By the water, on the bridge, all while dodging the mud that the rain brought. Here is a peek out our Arbor Hills session. Now we just have a few more months until these two get married at Chapel Ana Villa
Avalon Legacy Ranch is where Shannon & Austin will be getting married this October. With their love of outdoors, they decided to do their engagements at White Rock Lake in Dallas. It was the perfect location for their engagement session!
White Rock Lake is such a beautiful spot to take engagement photos! They have bridges, docks, large trees, and a beautiful lake. I could literally spend all day here taking photos! But, it is summertime, so we had to finish before dehydration set in. It was hot, but so worth it! The sunset was magical and these two lovebirds were so much fun. They were always smiling & such a sweet couple to just hang out with.
I am excited to be a part of their wedding up here in McKinney this fall. And this time around, their wedding at Avalon Legacy won’t be approaching 100 degrees. Here are a few of their engagement photos… Come back in October to see them dressed for their big day at Avalon Legacy Ranch!
