Indoor weddings are a safe option in our ever changing Dallas weather. I met Laura and Jeff at the Chapel Ana Villa open house and immediately clicked with them. After hearing about their story and what they were looking for, they were super excited to hire Laura and I to capture their wedding. Having a summer wedding in Dallas is tough, because it is HOT! So Laura and Jeff were so kind to all the guests by choosing a venue that is all indoors! Chapel Ana Villa has a beautiful chapel and reception room to host everything inside. So you get to avoid the heat and avoid driving around Dallas. Which photographers love. Because more drive time is less time doing photography. And the more photos the better!
Laura and Jeff had an intimate ceremony and reception with their friends on a Sunday afternoon. And before the sun set, they were off to their honeymoon. Here is little preview of their Chapel Ana Villa wedding.
Bridal shows are always such a great way for couples to meet us, and not just to see our photos. I tell people all the time that WHO is taking your photos is so important… Because at the end of the day, you aren’t looking for art to buy. You are looking for an artist to tell your story. So getting to meet your photographer and see how they care about people, how they approach your story, and seeing if you can trust them is so important. This is why we continue to do bridal shows. It is less about marketing for us and more about connections. We aren’t looking to shoot 80 weddings a year. We are looking to meet couples who we connect with who we can come alongside and tell their story.
Heather and Joel met us at the Plano Bridal show last year, and immediately we had a connection. They knew they wanted to use us to capture their wedding, and we knew that this was just the type of couple we loved to work for. I was able to shoot Heather’s bridal session at Stone Crest Venue before her wedding.
Their Stone Crest Venue wedding was such a party! They had friends and family on the dance floor all night long! Rick with Mobile Service DJ made sure to keep them dancing and entertained… And this crowd loved this!
Avalon Legacy Ranch in McKinney with the Cantina Caravan was the perfect combination for this amazing Springtime wedding! Joe and Sam wanted a party that was fun, casual, and felt like a fun place where everyone could gather & enjoy. Avalon Legacy Ranch was the perfect backdrop for such a wedding. The outdoor space was an incredible spot to park the Cantina Caravan for people to come up for drinks and just enjoy the beautiful evening.
Oh, and did I mention this wedding was on May 5th? So why not bring in the margaritas, sombreros, and make it a huge celebration! They even brought a bunch of Mexican themed props for HoneyBird Photobooth to use! The photo booth was busy all night!
Joe and Sam were so much fun! From getting to do their engagement photos on their parents land, to shooting their beautiful wedding at Avalon Legacy Ranch, they kept a smile on their face through all of it! Here is a preview of their fun filled outdoor wedding.
Cross Creek Ranch, just outside of Mckinney, was the perfect wedding venue for Holly and Josh’s reception. Josh grew up in St. Joseph Catholic Church, where the ceremony took place. After their ceremony at the church, we headed over to Cross Creek Ranch in Parker. It had been raining for days before the wedding but decided to stop just for their wedding! For a photographer, this is great news! If you are at Cross Creek Ranch, you don’t want to miss the outside… Acres and Acres of Texas beauty to take photos of! Holly even braved the mud to get some of those photos.
Holly was an old neighbor of ours, so it was so much fun to get to be a part of their wedding and see friends from our neighborhood street having a great time! There is just something extra special about photographing a wedding for a friend…you see much deeper into the day and get to celebrate with them in a special way. When they told me they found Cross Creek Ranch as their wedding venue, I was thrilled! Enjoy this preview from their wedding at Cross Creek Ranch!
