A Nigerian Wedding at a Rustic Venue | Ben and Lana

Lana and Ben got married at The Springs in McKinney this summer, and their story and wedding is just so sweet! They combined Western and Nigerian aspects to make it an American + Nigerian wedding. And if you have ever been to a Nigerian wedding, you know it is a blast! 

As a wedding photographer, sometimes the best thing to share is photos and the story in their own words, so here it is. Ben and Lana’s story: 
“In the spring of 2015, Ben and I met and started talking online. (I know… We didn’t know it would work either 🙂 After a month or so of chatting back and forth, we decided to go on our first date at Top Golf. We stayed for several hours eating, talking, and playing golf. We hung out a couple more times and Ben “officially” asked me to be his girlfriend on May 19, 2015. 

In May of 2019, we traveled to New Orleans to celebrate our four year anniversary and Mother’s Day. Little did I know, Ben had something else up his sleeve. In the midst of the pouring rain, we visited a beautiful cathedral. Next thing I knew Ben pulled a ring out of his pocket and was down on one knee asking me to be his wife.”
