A Destination Wedding at The Fives in Playa Del Carmen Mexico

The Fives Beaches Resort in Playa Del Carmen (a short distance from Cancun Mexico) was the perfect location for Ashely and Jeremy’s destination wedding. We get asked all the time if we do destination weddings. And our answer is yes! We sure do! But only one a year! Destination weddings are a blast! We love them! But we also know from experience that they are a ton of work, so want to make sure we can enjoy the 1 a year we do without wearing ourselves out with travel and logistics that we can’t care for all the couples in the way we would like. 

That being said, we seem to always pick the BEST couples for our destination weddings! Ashley and Jeremy felt like family by the end of the week. We vacationed with them, took photos of their wedding, and even got to watch the sunrise the following morning with them as we did a trash the dress session (more on that in another post). 

It was a hot day in Playa del Carmen, but it was a beautiful day! Their ceremony was overlooking the beach in the most unique pergola structure I have seen. I loved it! After the ceremony everyone headed down to the beach for drinks in coconuts to cool off. Before the ceremony started we were able to tour around the resort getting photos all over the place! I feel like I need to update my website with all the photos…they are just so much fun! 

It was sad to say goodbye to our friend and this resort, but we are so glad we got to take all these photos for everyone to remember. Here is just a little preview of their day.
